I was born and raised in a household of Democrats, our extended family were all Democrats. My grandparents were all
Roman Catholics, of French Canadian stock. They were mostly farm folks living in Northern Illinois. -– All Democrats!
Back in the 1960's, my Father, a WW-II veteran, was a regular - hourly wage - working man.
He was also a Cub Master, then the Neighborhood Commissioner for the BSA.
My Mother was a secretary for a small local business, about 1965 she became a member of ‘Right to Life’.
They both voted a ‘Straight Democratic Ticket’.
My brother was a Cub Scout, and later a Boy Scout.
I was a Boy Scout. We were all in 4-H.
WE WERE DEMOCRATS! - I was proud to be a Democrat!
Around 1962, I read a pamphlet in Church against the practice of abortion; I was SHOCKED that anyone would KILL their
very own child!
I registered as a Democrat when I became of age and voted a straight Democratic ticket in most elections. However,
I then found my-self voting more and more for Republicans because of the issues backed by the Democratic Candidates.
The last Democrat elected as President that I voted for was Jimmy Carter. What a mistake!
I kept looking at who and what the Democratic Party was supporting; and at what the Republicans were backing --
Then, I registered Republican!
I did NOT leave the Democratic Party, THEY LEFT ME!
Since then the Dummy-Rats or is it now Demon-Rats? Have gone absolutely crazy on what issues they will support.
The Party of Inclusiveness, Diversity, Tolerance and Acceptance now has members supporting “CHRISTIANS should be
NOT allowed to participate in ANY political process”….
Pure unadulterated BIGOTRY! -- Then, they have the gall to call Christians bigots.
The list of NEW issues that the Democratic Party now supports, would be entirely shot down by almost anyone living back
in the 1960’s or prior, as totally off the wall and unacceptable.

and the institutions funded by the Church, such as Church Schools and Hospitals,
what they can and cannot DO… what they can say and can not SAY.
They want to control what Medical Coverage options the Church MUST provide for people in Religious Orders, and
religious based institutions, such as Catholic Charities.
The Religious institutions will therefore have to pay for the insurance coverage, whether they want the coverage or not:

TVC Weekly News: Judges Violate Protestant And Catholic Freedoms
Summary: Two cases handed down by judges clearly violate the religious freedoms of both Protestants and
Catholics to set standards for their faiths.
**1 The California Supreme Court has delivered a blow to religious freedom in that state. The court ruled on March 1,
2004, that Catholic Charities must provide contraceptive benefits as part of its health insurance package. The court ruled
that because the state mandates such coverage in business health packages, this Catholic group must comply, in violation
of its firmly held religious beliefs.
The court maintained that because the charity provides secular services such as counseling, low-income housing, etc.
That it is no different than any other business.
Brad Dacus with the Pacific Justice Institute is deeply concerned about this ruling. "This is a clear violation of Catholic
Charities' right to religious freedom. It is an egregious intrusion into the religious organization's right to follow its own
doctrine and principles, and the court has vastly overstepped its authority."
**2 The Pacific Justice Institute is also defending a church that was forced by a judge to re-admit several disgruntled
members to the church who were angry at the preacher for not preaching liberalism. The church leadership ejected these
members from the church for causing internal dissension.
A judge, however, determined that because the church was "owned" by all of its members, the members had property
rights that could not be violated. He ruled that the property rights of these disgruntled members were being violated by
being kicked out of the church.

New York Court Ruling May Force Catholic Group to Fund Abortions
Albany, NY (LifeNews.com) -- The New York Supreme Court ruled on Thursday that Catholic and other religious social
services groups must fund contraception in their employees' health care plans. The ruling has pro-life advocates worried
because it could lead to forcing the Christian groups to fund abortions as well. Even though the groups are opposed to
contraception, the state's high court ruled in a unanimous 6-0 ruling that Catholic Charities and nine other organizations
must fund it anyway. "We must weigh against (their) interests in adhering to the tenets of their faith the state's substantial
interest in fostering equality between the sexes, and in providing women with better health care," the court ruled according
to an AP report. The New York Catholic Conference is considering appealing the decision to the U.S. Supreme Court and
says it's concerned the decision will lead to forcing it to pay for employee abortions. "We think this has never really been
about contraception, we think it was to target the church and open the door for coverage of abortion," Dennis Poust,

Restore Free Speech for Churches!
This new bill seeks to return the freedom of speech to our nation's houses of worship.
The legislation would repeal the authority if the Internal Revenue Service to revoke the tax status of a church, temple, or
mosque whose clergy speak out on issues that the IRS deems to be too political.
It is the God-given duty of religious leaders to speak to their congregations as they feel led. It should not be up to the IRS
to tell them what they can and cannot say! This government was not formed to limit the speech of the church.
The Houses of Worship Free Speech Restoration Act deals with freedom of speech and nothing else. This issue is
focused on the free speech of America's pastors, priests and rabbis. It isn't about campaign fund-raising; it would allow
religious leaders to speak from their pulpits however they see fit without fear of losing their tax-exempt status.

Michigan Conscience Clause Bills Would Protect Pro-Life Medical Workers
Lansing, MI (LifeNews.com) -- A package of bills in the Michigan Legislature would guarantee that medical personnel and
institutions would not be penalized for objecting to acts that they object to for moral reasons, such as abortion, euthanasia,
and embryonic stem cell research. There are a total of four bills in the "Conscience Clause package. HB 5006 protects any
individual health care provider, such as a pharmacist, nurse, or doctor, from losing their jobs over refusal to perform acts,
such as participating in an abortion or filling a prescription for an abortion drug. A medical facility could object on similar
grounds, such as private hospitals, under HB 5276. The last two bills, HB 5277 and HB 5278, would allow insurance
companies to likewise exempt themselves from medical practices they find morally objectionable.

Ohio Bill Would Protect Pro-Life Pharmacists on Abortion Drugs

under a bill introduced in the Ohio legislature. House Bill 68 would provide job protection for pharmacists who have moral
objections to prescribing the dangerous abortion drug RU-486 or the so-called "morning after" pill, which can also cause
chemical abortions. "It is ironic that this bill is controversial at all,"said Mark Lally, Legislative Counsel for Ohio Right to Life.
"Since the groups on the other side argue that abortion should be a matter of individual choice and individual conscience,
they should respect and support the conscience rights of those persons who object to distributing drugs that can cause an

Secular Absolutism
Secular absolutism is becoming the most potent religious force in America. Just ask the Boy Scouts and Catholic Charities,
which both fell afoul of secular orthodoxy and then found judges willing to punish them for it.
Start with Catholic Charities. The California Supreme Court just ruled that the social-services arm of the Roman Catholic
Church must include contraceptives coverage to women as part of any prescription drug benefit it extends to employees.
When Catholic Charities insisted that as an avowedly Catholic organization it fit the religious exemption provided by the law
in question, the court simply said it was not a religious organization. Catholic Charities?
Leave aside the irony that of all America's Catholic institutions, Catholic Charities is arguably the most liberal and
sympathetic to secular crusades. Even that didn't protect them. Nor did its practice of employing people outside the
Catholic faith — which was used here as reason for denying its religious claims.
If the state can order a Catholic organization to include contraceptive coverage as part of its
health benefits or drop all drug coverage, it's not hard to see where that's leading.
This is what passes for "civil liberties" now.

Why You are Offended
The ‘burp’ theory of offense.
In some countries of the world, it is considered proper etiquette to give out a loud appreciative burp after a meal as a sign
that you enjoyed the food and to compliment the cook. If you do not burp, it is taken as an insult to the cook and the host
or hostess.
In this country, any time you burp it is considered offensive to all those within hearing range.
A burp is just the sound of releasing swallowed air; is perfectly natural part of humanity.
What is the difference?
It is a lot more than cultural traditions; it is what you have been TAUGHT as to what is offensive.
When the ‘perpetually indignant’ people in this country complain that they are offended by Patriotic or Christian symbols
such as the saying of the Pledge of Allegiance, the Flag or the Cross or the Ten Commandments, it is because they have
been taught that it is offensive for them to view it, or to participate. Then these same people want to totally prevent all
others from the practice too, no matter whether they want to participate or not.
However these same people who are teaching that saying the Pledge is offensive, or that the Cross is an offensive
religious symbol, are also teaching that you should have ‘tolerance’, ‘inclusiveness’, ‘diversity’ and ‘acceptance’ to people
of other nations' patriotic practices, and holiday celebrations right here within our own country. They also say, as is the
American custom and guaranteed in the Bill of Rights, that we must also be tolerant of all other religious practices
…even if that “religion” be Satanism or whatever.

Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat,
introduced the Social Security (FICA) Program.
He promised:
1.) That participation in the Program would be completely voluntary. -- It is MANDATORY now!
2.) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of their annual incomes into the Program.
3.) That the money the participants elected to put into the Program would be deductible from their income for tax purposes
each year.
4.) That the money the participants put into the independent "Trust Fund" rather than into the General operating fund, and
therefore, would only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program,
and no other Government program. -- Congress continues to raid the SSI Trust Fund as their own Slush Fund.
5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income. -- Now entirely taxable.
Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social Security check every month -- and then
finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of the money we paid to the Federal government to "put away," you may be
interested in the following:
Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the independent "Trust" fund and put it into the General
fund so that Congress could spend it?
A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the Democratically-controlled House and Senate.
Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?
A: The Democratic Party.
Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social Security annuities?
A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the "tie-breaking" deciding vote as President of the Senate, while he was
Vice President of the U.S.
Q: Which Political Party decided to start giving annuity payments to immigrants?
A: That's right; Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party! Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65, began to
receive SSI Social Security payments! The Democratic Party gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a
dime into it!
Then, after doing all this lying and thieving and violating of the original contract (FICA),
the Democrats turn around and tell you that: "The Republicans want to take your Social Security away!"
And the worst part about all of this is: Uninformed citizens, and fools believe it!
Perhaps we were asking the wrong questions during the 2004 election year!

Tax Freedom Day
Every year an independent tax watchdog group analyzes the average tax burden on Americans, and then calculates the
"Tax Freedom Day". This is the day after which the money you earn goes to you, not the government.
This year, tax freedom day was April 11th. That's the earliest it has been since 1991.
It's latest day ever was May 2nd, which occurred in 2000.
Notice anything special about those dates? HINT, Who was the President?
John Kerry gave a speech in which he claimed Americans were actually paying more taxes under Bush, despite the tax
cuts.
He gave no explanation and provided no data for this claim.
(LIBERALS Never have to give explanations or evidence to prove their statements.

Another interesting fact: Both George Bush and John Kerry are wealthy men.
Bush owns only one home, his ranch in Texas. Kerry owns 4 mansions, all worth several million dollars. (His ski resort

Bush paid $250,000 in taxes this year; Kerry paid $90,000. Does that sound right?

TVC Weekly News: Judges Violate Protestant And Catholic Freedoms
Summary: Two cases handed down by judges clearly violate the religious freedoms of both Protestants and
Catholics to set standards for their faiths.
**1 The California Supreme Court has delivered a blow to religious freedom in that state. The court ruled on March 1,
2004, that Catholic Charities must provide contraceptive benefits as part of its health insurance package. The court ruled
that because the state mandates such coverage in business health packages, this Catholic group must comply, in violation
of its firmly held religious beliefs.
The court maintained that because the charity provides secular services such as counseling, low-income housing, etc.
That it is no different than any other business.
Brad Dacus with the Pacific Justice Institute is deeply concerned about this ruling. "This is a clear violation of Catholic
Charities' right to religious freedom. It is an egregious intrusion into the religious organization's right to follow its own
doctrine and principles, and the court has vastly overstepped its authority."
**2 The Pacific Justice Institute is also defending a church that was forced by a judge to re-admit several disgruntled
members to the church who were angry at the preacher for not preaching liberalism. The church leadership ejected these
members from the church for causing internal dissension.
A judge, however, determined that because the church was "owned" by all of its members, the members had property
rights that could not be violated. He ruled that the property rights of these disgruntled members were being violated by
being kicked out of the church.

New York Court Ruling May Force Catholic Group to Fund Abortions
Albany, NY (LifeNews.com) -- The New York Supreme Court ruled on Thursday that Catholic and other religious social
services groups must fund contraception in their employees' health care plans. The ruling has pro-life advocates worried
because it could lead to forcing the Christian groups to fund abortions as well. Even though the groups are opposed to
contraception, the state's high court ruled in a unanimous 6-0 ruling that Catholic Charities and nine other organizations
must fund it anyway. "We must weigh against (their) interests in adhering to the tenets of their faith the state's substantial
interest in fostering equality between the sexes, and in providing women with better health care," the court ruled according
to an AP report. The New York Catholic Conference is considering appealing the decision to the U.S. Supreme Court and
says it's concerned the decision will lead to forcing it to pay for employee abortions. "We think this has never really been
about contraception, we think it was to target the church and open the door for coverage of abortion," Dennis Poust,

Restore Free Speech for Churches!
This new bill seeks to return the freedom of speech to our nation's houses of worship.
The legislation would repeal the authority if the Internal Revenue Service to revoke the tax status of a church, temple, or
mosque whose clergy speak out on issues that the IRS deems to be too political.
It is the God-given duty of religious leaders to speak to their congregations as they feel led. It should not be up to the IRS
to tell them what they can and cannot say! This government was not formed to limit the speech of the church.
The Houses of Worship Free Speech Restoration Act deals with freedom of speech and nothing else. This issue is
focused on the free speech of America's pastors, priests and rabbis. It isn't about campaign fund-raising; it would allow
religious leaders to speak from their pulpits however they see fit without fear of losing their tax-exempt status.

Michigan Conscience Clause Bills Would Protect Pro-Life Medical Workers
Lansing, MI (LifeNews.com) -- A package of bills in the Michigan Legislature would guarantee that medical personnel and
institutions would not be penalized for objecting to acts that they object to for moral reasons, such as abortion, euthanasia,
and embryonic stem cell research. There are a total of four bills in the "Conscience Clause package. HB 5006 protects any
individual health care provider, such as a pharmacist, nurse, or doctor, from losing their jobs over refusal to perform acts,
such as participating in an abortion or filling a prescription for an abortion drug. A medical facility could object on similar
grounds, such as private hospitals, under HB 5276. The last two bills, HB 5277 and HB 5278, would allow insurance
companies to likewise exempt themselves from medical practices they find morally objectionable.

Ohio Bill Would Protect Pro-Life Pharmacists on Abortion Drugs

under a bill introduced in the Ohio legislature. House Bill 68 would provide job protection for pharmacists who have moral
objections to prescribing the dangerous abortion drug RU-486 or the so-called "morning after" pill, which can also cause
chemical abortions. "It is ironic that this bill is controversial at all,"said Mark Lally, Legislative Counsel for Ohio Right to Life.
"Since the groups on the other side argue that abortion should be a matter of individual choice and individual conscience,

Secular Absolutism
Secular absolutism is becoming the most potent religious force in America. Just ask the Boy Scouts and Catholic Charities,
which both fell afoul of secular orthodoxy and then found judges willing to punish them for it.
Start with Catholic Charities. The California Supreme Court just ruled that the social-services arm of the Roman Catholic
Church must include contraceptives coverage to women as part of any prescription drug benefit it extends to employees.
When Catholic Charities insisted that as an avowedly Catholic organization it fit the religious exemption provided by the law
in question, the court simply said it was not a religious organization. Catholic Charities?
Leave aside the irony that of all America's Catholic institutions, Catholic Charities is arguably the most liberal and
sympathetic to secular crusades. Even that didn't protect them. Nor did its practice of employing people outside the
Catholic faith — which was used here as reason for denying its religious claims.
If the state can order a Catholic organization to include contraceptive coverage as part of its
health benefits or drop all drug coverage, it's not hard to see where that's leading.
This is what passes for "civil liberties" now.

Why You are Offended
The ‘burp’ theory of offense.
In some countries of the world, it is considered proper etiquette to give out a loud appreciative burp after a meal as a sign
that you enjoyed the food and to compliment the cook. If you do not burp, it is taken as an insult to the cook and the host
or hostess.
In this country, any time you burp it is considered offensive to all those within hearing range.
A burp is just the sound of releasing swallowed air; is perfectly natural part of humanity.
What is the difference?
It is a lot more than cultural traditions; it is what you have been TAUGHT as to what is offensive.
When the ‘perpetually indignant’ people in this country complain that they are offended by Patriotic or Christian symbols
such as the saying of the Pledge of Allegiance, the Flag or the Cross or the Ten Commandments, it is because they have
been taught that it is offensive for them to view it, or to participate. Then these same people want to totally prevent all
others from the practice too, no matter whether they want to participate or not.
However these same people who are teaching that saying the Pledge is offensive, or that the Cross is an offensive
religious symbol, are also teaching that you should have ‘tolerance’, ‘inclusiveness’, ‘diversity’ and ‘acceptance’ to people
of other nations' patriotic practices, and holiday celebrations right here within our own country. They also say, as is the
American custom and guaranteed in the Bill of Rights, that we must also be tolerant of all other religious practices
…even if that “religion” be Satanism or whatever.

Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat,
introduced the Social Security (FICA) Program.
He promised:
1.) That participation in the Program would be completely voluntary. -- It is MANDATORY now!
2.) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of their annual incomes into the Program.
3.) That the money the participants elected to put into the Program would be deductible from their income for tax purposes
each year.
4.) That the money the participants put into the independent "Trust Fund" rather than into the General operating fund, and
therefore, would only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program,
and no other Government program. -- Congress continues to raid the SSI Trust Fund as their own Slush Fund.
5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income. -- Now entirely taxable.
Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social Security check every month -- and then
finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of the money we paid to the Federal government to "put away," you may be
interested in the following:
Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the independent "Trust" fund and put it into the General
fund so that Congress could spend it?
A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the Democratically-controlled House and Senate.
Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?
A: The Democratic Party.
Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social Security annuities?
A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the "tie-breaking" deciding vote as President of the Senate, while he was
Vice President of the U.S.
Q: Which Political Party decided to start giving annuity payments to immigrants?
A: That's right; Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party! Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65, began to
receive SSI Social Security payments! The Democratic Party gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a
dime into it!
Then, after doing all this lying and thieving and violating of the original contract (FICA),
the Democrats turn around and tell you that: "The Republicans want to take your Social Security away!"
And the worst part about all of this is: Uninformed citizens, and fools believe it!
Perhaps we were asking the wrong questions during the 2004 election year!
If enough people read this, maybe a seed of awareness will be planted and maybe good changes will evolve.

Tax Freedom Day
Every year an independent tax watchdog group analyzes the average tax burden on Americans, and then calculates the
"Tax Freedom Day". This is the day after which the money you earn goes to you, not the government.
This year, tax freedom day was April 11th. That's the earliest it has been since 1991.
It's latest day ever was May 2nd, which occurred in 2000.
Notice anything special about those dates? HINT, Who was the President?
John Kerry gave a speech in which he claimed Americans were actually paying more taxes under Bush, despite the tax
cuts.
He gave no explanation and provided no data for this claim.
(LIBERALS Never have to give explanations or evidence to prove their statements.
However: CONSERVATIVES can never give enough evidence.)
Another interesting fact: Both George Bush and John Kerry are wealthy men.
Bush owns only one home, his ranch in Texas. Kerry owns 4 mansions, all worth several million dollars. (His ski resort
home in Idaho is an old barn brought over from Europe in pieces.
Not your average A-frame).
Bush paid $250,000 in taxes this year; Kerry paid $90,000. Does that sound right?
The man who wants to raise your taxes obviously has figured out a way to avoid paying his own.
